Protein Skimmer

Protein skimmer for a 29 gallon Reef Tank?
I am in the process of setting of turning my marine tank into a reef tank. I still need to upgrade lighting and get a protein skimmer. I already have my lighting picked out, but what kind of skimmer do you suggest.
I am looking for a hang on back skimmer.
Remora skimmers are the absolute best. for a 29 gallon tank, a skimmer really isn’t needed unless you just want to reduce water changes and use suppliments instead. weekly 10% water changes will keep nitrates down to around 20 or less. You can mod a good size HOB filter to be a refugium for cheato algae to consume these nitrates
I’m not saying to not get a skimmer, I’m just saying that it is not a priority and it would be plenty safe to get other things for your tank such as the lighting and wait till you can get a good skimmer. a 29 gallon tank don’t really need a skimmer. A good skimmer will actually be usefull but a lower quality skimmer in a small tank would only be a waste of money.
Just save your money and wait till you actually need a skimmer before buying one. If your water is really clear and your nitrates are under 20 then your gonna be better with a DIY refugium and cheato algae. Some nitrates such a 5-10 can be benificial to your tank as they will feed many filter feeding coral such as pulsing xenia.
